At 13:30 on November 23, 2018, the ceremony of submitting the cooperation agreement between Chang'an University and University of New Orleans was successfully held in the conference room on the third floor of Architecture School of Xiaozhai campus. Dr Michael Thompson, associate professor of Department of Planning and Urban Studies at University of New Orleans and inclusive growth in the public interest data researcher, Dr John Hazlitt, the former director of international studies at University of New Orleans and emeritus professor of English department, associate professor James Moshibel, adviser of model United Nations delegation at University of New Orleans, Wang Nong, vice president of Architecture School of Chang'an University, Yu Xiaohui, dean assistant of Architecture School, Ren Juan, foreign affairs secretary of Architecture School and Dr Shen Tong attended the ceremony. Some student representatives from University of New Orleans and some graduate students from Chang'an University attended the ceremony. The meeting was presided over by Yu Xiaohui, dean assistant of Architecture School, Chang'an University.
Yu Xiaohui, dean assistant of Architecture School, on behalf of the faculty and students of Architecture School, extended sincere greetings and warm welcome to the friendly visit of the faculty and students from University of New Orleans.
Wang Nong, vice President of Architecture School, said that international academic exchanges are necessary to create intellectual sparks, and the cooperation between Chang'an University and University of New Orleans will be an academic feast to promote mutual communication between teachers and students of both sides.
Professor Michael of University of New Orleans sincerely thanks Chang'an University for attaching great importance to and supporting the inter-university cooperation between the two universities. Besides, she also has a strong interest in the urban construction culture of Xi 'an, so she is eagerly looking forward to the future of friendly cooperation between the two universities.
In the warm and friendly atmosphere, Wang presented the agreement of friendly cooperation between Chang'an University and University of New Orleans to Dr. Thompson, and presented the visiting professor of University of New Orleans with the excellent works of students from Architecture School of Chang'an University.
Chang'an University - University of New Orleans Cooperation Agreement lays the basis of friendly exchanges between the Chang'an University and University of New Orleans, and mutual communication between teachers and students of two universities. Besides, it explores a new road of international academic exchanges for teachers and students of Architecture School of Chang'an University.
