From October 10th to 20th, 2019, Architecture School of Chang 'an University has hosted an exhibition on the teaching of basic courses of architectural modeling, with the theme of The Transition between Architectural Preliminary and Architectural Design. The purpose of this exhibition is to provide teaching references for architecture and other related majors, to help students have an in-depth understanding of the basic professional courses and further understand the concept of architectural design.
The exhibition is jointly organized by Beijing Jiaotong University, Milan Polytechnic University and Moscow Institute of Architecture. The curators are Professor Han Linfei of Beijing Jiaotong University, Professor Maurizio Merrigi of Milan Polytechnic University and Academician D. Sividkovcki of Moscow Institute of Architecture. Contents of the exhibition are the important teaching results of the basic architecture courses jointly produced by Moscow Architecture Institute, Milan Polytechnic University, and Beijing Jiaotong University.
The exhibition is held on the third floor of Architecture Building in Weishui Campus on October 10th, including two categories: the exhibition of achievements and individual works. The exhibition works with the theme of Word and sentence teaching method——to establish a basic system of architectural design teaching adapted to creative psychology are featured with distinct themes and rich contents. The exhibition interprets the teaching process from the perspectives of color, form, and space, and includes a variety of exercises and students' works. It shows the transformation process from preliminary architecture to architectural design from various aspects. The exhibition also displays the works of several outstanding alumni of Beijing Jiaotong University.
The exhibition has been held many times among well-known universities in China. The important achievements of basic architectural course education in the exhibition can provide a reference for the teaching reform of architecture and related majors in our school. The exhibition aroused a warm response in the school. A large number of teachers and students have visited the exhibition and had active discussions. It also played a positive role in promoting the development of architecture and related disciplines.
