On the morning of March 2, 2020, "The third silk road urban-rural planning professional teaching union 2020 joint graduation project" was successfully held on line. The event was jointly organized by Xi 'an university of architecture and technology, Chang 'an university, Northwest university and Lanzhou university of technology.And it was undertaken by northwest university. The title of this joint project is "Urban design of the comprehensive business district in front of the T5 station in Xixian new district". Jing xiaopeng and Guo qiwei, two teachers from the department of planning, school of architecture, Chang’anuniversity led 12 undergraduates to participate in the design.
With the support of Xixian branch of Shaanxi provincial institute of urban and rural planning and design,more than 60 teachers and students from four universities gathered in the conference room of tencent to attend the opening ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Cui peng, associate professor of Northwestern university.

At the opening ceremony, professor Li shuheng, vice dean of the School of city and environment, Northwest university, gave an opening speech. Professor Hou quanhua, dean of the School of architecture, Chang 'an university, professor Ren yunying, professor of the School of architecture, Xi 'an university of architecture and technology, and Liu benteng, vice dean of the School of design and art, Lanzhou university of technology, delivered speeches respectively. They gave full affirmation to the development of the teaching alliance of the Silk road urban and rural planning major, and wished the joint graduation project a complete success.
Zhao qing, associate professor of the School of city and environment, Northwest university, explained the topic selection and task book of the joint graduation project. Tang long, director of Xixian branch of Shaanxi provincial institute of urban and rural planning and design, introduced the urban design planning related to the area in front of station T5. Professor Quan dongji from the School of city and environment, Northwest university explained the value and protection plan of the Tangshunling cultural heritage. These presentations and project reports provided the participants with a professional understanding of the design site.
Teachers and students
The silk road urban-rural planning professional teaching union was founded by Chang’an university, Xi 'an university of architecture and technology, and Northwest university at the beginning of 2018. It is aimed to rely on the northwest regional features, service of urban and rural planning and construction, in order to enhance the northwest region of urban and rural planning professional education quality and strengthen the urban and rural planning professional teaching communication.
