On March 14, 2023, Liu Jiaping, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the honorary President of the School of Architecture, visited our school and gave a special lecture on "Some Issues on the evolution of architectural disciplines" for all the faculty of the School of Architecture.
The speech of Academician Liu Jiaping
Liu Jiaping shared his experience on the topic selection and application of the National Natural Science Foundation, pointing out that the accurate topic selection of the National Science Foundation is the key to the success of the application of the fund, and the entry point should be accurate, innovative and research value. Then, Liu Jiaping made a detailed introduction to the evolution and future development trend of architectural disciplines and professions.
At the end of the lecture Liu Jiaping had a cordial exchange with the faculties of the School of Architecture. The faculties actively asked Liu questions about the development of the Architecture School's disciplines, personnel training and scientific research.
Finally, Hou Quanhua, president of the Architecture School, expressed his gratitude to Academician Liu Jiaping. He said that this lecture has broadened the academic horizon of the faculties. It is hoped that academicians can give advice and guidance in the various stages of the development of the School of Architecture. The lecture ended successfully in the warm applause of all the faculty.
