On the morning of November 27, a delegation from the School of Architecture and Planning at Yunnan University, led by Dean Tan Zongbo and Associate Dean Yang Zijiang, visited our university for a research and exchange program. The delegation, consisting of four members, was warmly received by Jia Kan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Architecture, Hou Quanhua, Dean, Chen Wenliang, Associate Dean, together with faculty representatives from the Department of Urban and Rural Planning. The two sides held in-depth discussions on academic development, disciplinary construction, and future cooperation.

At the Exchange Meeting
Jia Kan extended a warm welcome to the delegation, presenting an overview of the School and highlighting its distinctive disciplinary features, development strategies, talent cultivation, and academic collaborations. Hou Quanhua provided a detailed introduction to the university and the School, covering its history, the development of the Urban and Rural Planning discipline, curriculum design, and school-enterprise cooperation. He further elaborated on the School’s overall objectives for discipline building, faculty development strategies, and teaching achievements.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Tan Zongbo introduced the School of Architecture and Planning at Yunnan University, including its overall profile, historical development, faculty team, and disciplinary construction.
During the meeting, both sides held in-depth discussions on a range of topics such as the development of the Urban and Rural Planning discipline, faculty team building, student affairs, and experiences in doctoral program applications, laying a foundation for further cooperation and exchange.
