On May 16, a delegation from the Department of Landscape Architecture, School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Anhui Jianzhu University, visited the School of Architecture at Chang’an University for an exchange and discussion. The delegation was led by Director Nie Wei and included Deputy Director Xie Xinyun, Discipline Leader Ji Fengquan, Party Branch Publicity Committee Member Zhang Shaojie, and young faculty member Li Gang. They were warmly received by representatives from Chang’an University’s Department of Landscape Architecture, including Director He Hongzhou, Deputy Director Zhu Qiuchen, Discipline Professor Yue Hongji, Party Branch Organization Committee Member Liu Zixuan, and young faculty member Liu Yawei.
He Hongzhou warmly welcomed Director Nie and his delegation. Before the meeting, he led the guests to visit the “45th Anniversary Exhibition of the Development of the Landscape Architecture Program at Chang’an University” and provided a detailed introduction to the history and achievements of the discipline.
During the discussion, Director Nie expressed gratitude for the hospitality and presented an overview of the Department of Landscape Architecture at Anhui Jianzhu University, including its academic programs, curriculum development, research strengths, and scholarly platforms.
The two sides engaged in productive dialogue on a range of topics, including undergraduate curriculum reform in landscape architecture, talent cultivation under new educational contexts, graduate education, and the integration of industry, academia, and research. The exchange not only deepened mutual understanding between the two institutions but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in advancing landscape architecture education and research.
